I was in charge in lighting of the movie “Killing” which was directed by Director Shinya Tsukamoto. It will be released nationwide today at Euro space/Shibuya o Cinema city/Tachikawa.

When I got a chance to work with the movie “Nightmare Detective 2 ” 10 years ago, I was still a newbie in the film industry.
There were difficult times in shooting the movie. However, it was a happy and fun moments working together with the seniors of Kaijyu Theater who have taught me a lot.

Up until now, it still remains intensely impressive while looking through a viewfinder with meticulous eyes.
It was the image of director Tsukamoto shooting with handycam.
All cuts were seems to be breathtaking.

Killing was the only movie in ASIA that has been officially listed in the competition of the Venice International Film Festival division.
At the main venue in SALA GRANDE which was a full pack of audiences with about 1,000 spectators, “KILLING” was appreciated for the first time.

When the end roll has started, it was enthusiastically welcomed with a loud applause.
I have not received a standing ovation that lasted for about 5minutes withta lot of excitement and the applause has not stopped until we left.
The experience of the movie “KILLING” was clearly unforgetable.
There was a sudden recollection on my memory from the movie “Nightmare Detective 2”.
From being a know-nothing ligthing in charge to one of the crew of the appreciated film.

I went independent for a long time, and now it is time to think that I am a little closer to the Senior staffs of Kaijyu Theater.

I would like to continually dig up my expression without shortcuts and express various things such as my own history and ideas that comes from the bottom of my heart.

November 24, i will try to take my career to the next stage and i aim for Cinematography.
I’m going to upload some works that have been involved as a lighting for the post few years.

Through movies and Lighting, i have grown as a person.
Thank you so much to everyone who have been part of this journey : )
